Château Prieuré-Lichine, Margaux, 4ème Cru Classé

This 2015 has already received stand-out praise as a great vintage for Margaux, thanks to end of season conditions and Prieuré-Lichine ensuring quality at every stage. Perfect to drink from this year to enjoy its opulent aromas and impressively rich smooth dark fruits along with aged earthy characters. The palate is focused on blackberry and deep dark plum, accompanied by a swathe of sweet spices and earthy tones. The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a touch of Petit Verdot brings concentrated characters with a superb structure. Time spent in both new oak and second fill barrels has resulted in velvety smooth tannins to support the ripe fruit. With age the wine continues to show excellent prowess of concentration and elegance.
