Daftmill 2012 Summer Release 2025 Release - Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Daftmill is a farm distillery. Owned and operated by the Cuthbert family, it only runs in the farm's quiet periods, mid-summer and winter, sometimes producing as fen as 100 casks per year. When not distilling, Francis Cuthbert looks after the estate, growing the malting barley used to make this Lowland whisky.

The barley variety Concerto was grown in the South fields and harvested on the 2nd & 3rd of September It was then dried and stored on the farm to be malted in Alloa during the spring of 2012.

The twenty-three first-fill barrels in this release, which had previously been used to mature bourbon, were matured on the upper level of our dunnage warehouse. They were filled into cask in July and August of 2012 and bottled in June 2025.
