Meikle Toir - The Turbo 5 Year Old - 2025 Edition 700ml x 1 Bottle

Taking ‘the heart of the heart’ of their distillate - the spirit cut which contains the highest phenol content - ‘The Turbo’ entails an amplified smoky identity. Deploying mainland peat and a lengthy fermentation period, the whisky boasts full-bodied character. The 2025 Release is a combination of five American virgin oak casks and four Oloroso hogsheads. The result is a multifaceted whisky with a powerful punch of peat, hitting a hefty 72 PPM.

Nose: Manuka honey, toasted caramel and smoked cedarwood, with butterscotch, treacle tart and spiced orange peel.

Taste: Heather honey, roasted hazelnuts and baking spices, followed by crystalised ginger, mocha and molasses, with smouldering oak, dark chocolate and warmed plum jam on finish.

GlenAllachie Virgin Oak Series: French Virgin Oak 10 Year Old Limited Edition 700ml x 1 Bottle

For Batch Two of The GlenAllachie Virgin Oak Series, they first matured our whisky in American Oak (Quercus Alba) Ex-Bourbon Barrels. To add a delicate and distinctive twist, the whisky then underwent additional maturation for approximately 18 months in specially selected Virgin Oak Casks. The subtle flavour differences in this series are led by a variety of influences: the Oak species, the local terroir and the period of natural air drying, along with the toasting, charring and coopering of the casks. Each of these reacts uniquely with the GlenAllachie spirit, adding superb texture, depth and variety.

This golden bronze malt obtains its silky tannins, sweet spice and fruit notes from hogsheads made of French Oak (Quercus Robur) sourced from the Haute-Garonne region close to the Pyrenees. The fine-grained, consistent wood is air dried for 15 months before hosting the GlenAllachie spirit. The result is a delectable, subtle and earthy Single Malt.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Golden Bronze.

Nose: Waves of orange peel, heather honey and soft spice, followed by caramel, orchard fruits and mocha.

Taste: Layers of heather honey, mocha and brittle toffee, with grapefruit, cinnamon, earthy tannins and notes of ginger on the finish.
